Moving Forward
I was able to snap a photo a Magpie taking off our deck rail. It was quite pleasing to actually got this photo while the bird was flying off.

This is our view from the Dining Room window on a gray snowy morning.

The title has a Double Meaning.Of course the bird is flying, so.... "Moving Forward".
I learned so much from this painting that I felt I too was moving forward.
I had to learn to paint snow on the trees and make the trees look 3 dimensional. I also had to learn how to paint the depth and distance of the trees in both the close and far distance. The colors in this picture are very cool, no hot oranges, reds, or yellows. Adding the little birds in flight in the distance, was also something new.
